Cast iron candlesticks from the town Касли (Kasli) from 1906

Post by bistoboy on Sat Oct 01, 2011 10:03 pm

I bought a pair of candlesticks today that i believe are Russian cast iron. The mark is hard to read but is something like
нрлуховб
and the registration number KAC31906
anyone familiar with Russian design registration or iron factories. Could be pewter, but my feeling is that it's too heavy for that.

It's before the Russian revolution(1917) because the Russian Royal warrant is on it.

if it is Russian it could also be read as Gluchoi, which means deaf in Russian. On the other hand before 1917 a lot of Germans lived in Russia and Gluchoi in German means Taub, which is a German surname.
