I would just like to publicly thank Allan and his Wife for welcoming me and my husband to their house and showing us their collection as part of the Fat Lava II exhibition on a day when they weren't technically open.
(I misread weekend as 'long weekend' and turned up on Monday). It is a totally wonderful display, and I learned so much.
I got my collecting bug right back with a vengeance, and immediately joined this forum after Allan introduced me to it. I also dusted my collection and rearranged it giving my favorites a pat of encouragement. It so nice to find a group of like minded people - it makes collecting so much more fun!

Adrian our computer wiz son is uploading my 20 min. talk on Carstens, it will be in three segments, should be finished by tomorrow, each segment takes about 4 hours to upload and about one and half hours to encode, something like that anyway. It seems to be a lot of work, just to get some video happening. It will be on fat lava II and youtube under Carstens company west german ceramics.
Welcome to the forum deerjill it's a feast for the collector.

Respect Allan in amassing such a great collection down under, thats dedication. And i too am jealous of the barn/shed/museum/gallery !
