Just been there this weekend. Situated in the middle of the "Kannenbäckerland/Westerwald" near Koblenz. A nicely kept and modern museum from the 1980s. Well done history of pottery and clay mining.
Focus on impeccable antique collectibles (e.g. "Apostelkrüge"). Even stronger focus on contemporary art pottery and arts and crafts. Connected to a Pottery university / High School, so an annual competition is held amongst the classes. Their work takes a large part of the exhibition space.
Hardly any piece of West German Pottery as it is understood here. A handful 1950s Ruscha plates. I haven´t seen anything typical of the 1960s or 70s. But that will hopefully change after all these great publications this year...
